Lisa Drew - Artist, Musician, Road Tripper
Sometimes our path in life seems preordained. Lisa’s road tripping began
with her birth in Williamsburg, Virginia. Two years later, she was off to Long
Island for a ten-year gig. At 12, the beaches of San Diego beckoned her
family.
With adulthood came wanderlust, and Lisa traded flip-flops for
mukluks in Minneapolis, anchoring her life through the Minnesota Opera
Chorus and later as a soloist at Plymouth Congregational Church. Tempted
by tarmac and blacktop, she also toured the U.S. and Europe with The Rose
Ensemble for twelve years. She’s probably gone through more suitcases than
Taylor Swift!
Now Lisa’s on a new road trip, capturing the kitsch, the comic, and the lost classics scattered across the backroads of the Midwest through her lens and artistic vision. It’s the beginning of a heartfelt journey of discovery, blending photography and digital painting, and she hopes you are drawn in by this unique taste of the familiar and the forgotten.
Enjoy!
